About OCERT Services

In today's digital age, more and more citizens and businesses are at risk of information security breaches. However, a considerable number of citizens are unaware of their exposure to security risks. Thus, OCERT provides awareness and information security services to a wide range of constituents in the community including public users, government and private organizations to protect themselves, their organizations, and their community from any security breaches.

Awareness of the risks and available safeguards is the first line of defense for security of information systems and networks. Therefore, Training & Awareness courses, sessions, workshops and events are provided by the centre on regular basis and in every national event to leverage information security awareness among the constituents.

In addition, Proactive services are designed to improve security of the constituency before any incident or event occurs or is detected. The main goals are to avoid incidents, and to reduce their impact and scope when they do occur.

OCERT Reactive services are designed to respond to requests for assistance, reports of incidents from constituents, and any threats or attacks against internal systems. Reactive services can be initiated by either OCERT or its constituents.
