COMEX 2012 was inaugurated by H.E. Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Salem Al Futaisi, Minister of Transport and Communications, in the presence of a number of ministers and officials from public and private sectors at the Oman International Exhibition Centre.

Speaking on the occasion of the inauguration of Comex 2012, H.E. Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Salem Al Futaisi, Minister of Transport and Communications had a lengthy tour in the different sections of the exhibition including Oman National CERT section where his excellency came to know about the major role OCERT plays in securing Oman’s Cyber Environment and the services provided by OCERT, and his excellency meet OCERT Super Hero “Cyber-Con” who plays a vital role in spreading the Information Security Awareness amongst the exhibition visitors and providing them with direction to OCERT section.

Since OCERT targets everyone with no exceptions, we had around 100 visitors within the first day knowingly that public participation was allowed after the inauguration.
